Kawhi Leonard To Remain Out for Game 6 vs Jazz

Coach Ty Lue said Leonard remains out for tonight’s game against the Utah Jazz with a right knee injury. The Clippers star missed Game 5 vs Jazz and status seems to be in doubt for the remainder of the series.

Leonard suffered a knee injury on a drive while being fouled in the fourth quarter of Game 4. He left for a short period and returned briefly. Leonard left the game for good with 4:35 remaining.

Leonard suffered a quad tendon injury in his right knee in 2017 but more recently has dealt with issues in his left knee. Clippers are already without Serge Ibaka for the series, and Leonard has been phenomenal, averaging 27.3 points and 7.5 rebounds in the four games against the Jazz.

Paul George picked up the slack in Game 5, scoring 37 points, grabbing 16 rebounds, and dishing 5 assists. Marcus Morris chipped in 25 points, and Reggie Jackson provided 22 points of his own.

The LA Clippers will try to clinch their first trip to the Western Conference finals without Kawhi Leonard in Game 6.
