During a interview with NBC’s Cris Collinsworth on his podcast, Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy told Collinsworth that there’s no scenario that Justin Fields is the starting quarterback Week 1.
“Andy Dalton is our starter. Justin is our number 2 and we are going to stick with this plan. You just got to trust the plan,” said Nagy.
Andy Dalton spent the 2020 season with the Dallas Cowboys, tallying 2,169 yards, 14 touchdowns, and 8 interceptions. On the flip side, Justin Fields finished his Ohio State career with 5,373 yards, 63 touchdowns and 9 interceptions.
